A bangle has to pass over your knuckles, so your hand sets the size, not your wrist. Unlike a bracelet with a clasp, a solid bangle slips on over the hand. Measure your hand with the thumb tucked in to find the smallest bangle that will go on. Sizes like 2-6 mean 2 and 6/16 inches inside diameter.

Sizes follow the common Indian and US system, where the number after the dash counts sixteenths of an inch over 2 inches.
