For a round table, enter the diameter as the length. The width is ignored.
A tablecloth is the table plus the drop on every side. Add the drop twice to the length and twice to the width. A 36 × 72 inch table with an 8 inch drop needs a 52 × 88 inch cloth, close to the standard 60 × 84 inch size.
