These terms apply to your use of clarkssizecalculator.com (the "site"), including the Clarks Size Calculator, the Clarks size chart, the UK, US and EU converters, the downloadable foot gauge guides, the blog and the other size calculator tools. By using the site you agree to these terms. Please don't use the site, if you don't agree.

1. Who we are

Clarks Size Calculator is a free, independent information website run by the Clarks Size Calculator Team. The site is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or connected to C&J Clark International Ltd or any Clarks company. "Clarks" and other brand names are trademarks of their owners. We use them only to describe what the calculator is for. We don't sell shoes, take orders or handle payments.

2. What the calculator does

The Clarks Size Calculator turns a length number (97 to 281) and a width number (67 to 227) read from a Clarks Foot Gauge into a shoe size and width fitting letter. Results come from a table of Clarks foot gauge results where the table covers the pair you enter, and from an estimate on the UK children's sizing scale where it does not. The result note tells you which one you got. The size chart, converters and other tools use published sizing data and standard conversion rules.

3. Results are a guide, not a fitting

Every result on the site is guidance only. Sizing differs between brands, styles and lasts. Children's feet grow fast, and a gauge read wrongly gives a wrong number. Check the fit of shoes before your child wears them outdoors, and book a fitting appointment with a trained fitter, if you are unsure. You are responsible for the shoes you buy and for any decision you make using the site.

4. Gauge readings

Foot gauge numbers are readings on the Clarks gauge scale, not millimetres. Enter the numbers exactly as the gauge shows them, and use the numbers from the bigger foot. We are not responsible for results based on numbers read from the wrong scale, from a damaged or printed-to-the-wrong-size gauge, or from a different brand's gauge.

5. Guides and downloads

The Toddler guide and Junior guide PDFs explain how to use a foot gauge. You may download and print them for personal use. Please don't sell them or present them as your own work.

6. Acceptable use

• Use the site for lawful, personal and non-commercial purposes.
• Don't scrape, copy or republish the calculator, its gauge table or its results in bulk.
• Don't try to disrupt the site, access it in an unauthorised way or overload it with automated requests.
• Don't use the contact form to send spam, abuse or anything unlawful.

7. Links to other websites

The site links to third-party websites, such as shoe retailer pages. We don't control those websites and are not responsible for their content, prices, stock, products or privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement.

8. Intellectual property

The site's design, text, diagrams, calculators and code belong to us or our licensors. You may link to any page and print pages for personal use. Please ask before copying a substantial part of the site.

9. No warranty

We test the calculator against the full gauge table before each change, but we provide the site "as is" and "as available". We don't promise that the site, its results or its content will always be accurate, complete, up to date or available. We may change, pause or remove any part of the site at any time.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or cost arising from your use of, or reliance on, the site. That includes the cost of returning or exchanging shoes, postage, shoes that don't fit, and indirect or consequential loss. The site is free, so our total liability to you is limited to £0, or to the lowest amount the law permits. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not let us limit.

11. Privacy

The calculator runs in your browser. We don't need an account and we don't ask for a child's name or age. Our privacy policy explains what the contact form collects and how we use it.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. Using the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction. You keep any rights you have under the consumer law of the country you live in.
