The tip of a tied tie should just touch the top of your belt buckle.
Most people up to about 6 ft 2 in wear a standard 57 in tie. At 5 ft 10 in with a 15.5 in neck and a four-in-hand knot, a standard tie of 57 to 58 in ends at the belt buckle. A full Windsor uses about 4 in more, so taller wearers may need an extra long tie.
